Free Workshops: Smart Strategies for Artisans

June 5, 2008 | Santa Fe, NM –The city of Santa Fe Economic Development Department and Creative Santa Fe are presenting two free workshops for local artisans. We welcome all jewelers, woodworkers, potters, fiber artists, leatherworkers, and all other three dimensional artists to attend. These classes are offered as part of Santa Fe's Hispanic Entrepreneurship Week during National Hispanic Heritage Month.

Tuesday September 16th is "Conquering the Marketplace – Killer Strategies for Artisans." Topics include How the Web fits with your Marketing Plan, Market Driven Product Development, Researching the Market, and Creating Alternative Markets. Presenters will be Sam Levy, web developer and president of of NetMan, Inc., Elaine Bellezza, international craft sector specialist, Grace Brill, principal of Market Intelligence Solutions, and Dena Aquilina, Executive Director of Creative Santa Fe.

Wednesday September 17th is "Making Cents of the Maze – Funding Strategies for Artisans." Topics are State and City Incentives, Alternative Funding Sources, and Pricing and the Marketplace. Presenters will be Fabian Trujillo, City of Santa Fe Economic Development Division Director, Kim Blueher, WESST Director of Lending, and Elaine Bellezza, international craft sector specialist.
