Creative Santa Fe Elects Matt Smith of MASS Design Group to Board of Directors

SANTA FE, NM — Creative Santa Fe is pleased to have elected Matt Smith, Managing Director of MASS Design Group to its Board of Directors in December 2021. 

Bill Miller, Board Chair of Creative Santa Fe welcomes Matt Smith, “Matt’s experience and expertise overseeing global operations of MASS Design Group, an international nonprofit design/build architecture firm with a professional staff of 300, is directly relevant to Creative Santa Fe’s current and future goals and aspirations. We are fortunate to have the benefit of Matt’s programmatic and financial guidance as we proceed to implement this new phase of Creative Santa Fe’s service to our community.”

As a member of MASS’s Santa Fe Office and Global Operations team, Matt has leveraged organizational design,  supporting its growth ten-fold in staff size and revenue while ensuring the organization remains mission focused. Matt holds a Masters in Development Practice from Columbia University where he was the recipient of the U.S. Department of Education’s Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship. Matt was also the recipient of a David L. Boren Fellowship, studying Kiswahili and entrepreneurial development programs in East Africa after graduating from Montana State University where he studied Business Management and Ethics.

Creative Santa Fe emerged from a yearlong dormancy in November 2021 with an expanded offering of services, including brand communications strategy and design. A schedule of its engaging public programs for 2022 will be announced later this spring.
