Bio

Kenny Mann was born and raised in Kenya , where her family has lived since 1942.  She is a well-published author, journalist, educator and documentary filmmaker. In 2016, Kenny won a slot in the John Drew Theater of Guild Hall’s works-in-progress competition in East Hampton, NY.  She spent an entire year in production for her dramatized epic poem titled “Naisula:  A White Woman, Her African Servant, A Shaman and a Spirit Child.” Kenny works with the Maasai community of Kitengela, near Nairobi, to develop sustainable sources of income. Her organization is ACACIA MOYO – WHERE TRADITION MEETS TECHNOLOGY.

Kenny believes strongly that she is following in her parents’ footsteps and that perhaps they are acting as welcome ancestors.
