Laura Zabel Executive Director of Springboard for the Arts, will present a lecture titled “A Two-Way Street: Economic Success for Artists and Communities.” She will help us look to the future in Santa Fe, discussing national trends regarding creative sector work and her nationally renowned organization’s focus on building vibrant communities through toolkits and trainings for artists and other creative professionals, creative place-making projects, and partnerships.
We are excited to announce Jamie Blosser, Executive Director of the Santa Fe Art Institute, will be in an engaging dialogue with Laura after her presentation, moderated by Cyndi Conn, Executive Director of Creative Santa Fe. Together, they will help us imagine a Santa Fe where art is a powerful and accessible tool for change.

Springboard for the Arts’ mission is to cultivate vibrant communities by connecting artists with the skills, information, and services they need to make a living and a life. Their work is about creating communities and artists that have a reciprocal relationship, where artists are key contributors to community issues and are visible and valued for the impact they create. They do this work by creating simple, practical solutions and systems to support artists. Those programs support their goal to help create a local culture movement..
