An exhibition unlike anything we have EVER done before!
MADE IN SANTA FE will showcase art and objects created at the non-profit community workspace, MAKE Santa Fe, by local artists, makers and innovators. MAKE is a place where people can access tools, resources and workshops to make, repair, invent or create anything they can dream.
The opening reception will demonstrate the variety of projects, technologies and innovations created by this diverse group of Santa Fe creators, featuring Sally Blakemore, Randy Castillo, Anaid Garcia, Courtney Leonard, Mike Thompson, Andrew Woodard plus a maker’s menagerie of original objects by the maker community. The exhibition will also include a selection of photographs by Kate Russell from a project documenting the creative people working in the Siler District, in their personal work spaces.
Did we mention live drawing robots?
MADE IN SANTA FE was curated by partners of the Siler Yard Arts + Creativity Center. “Siler Yard” is an innovative project combining affordable live/work rental space with shared workshop and community facilities, amplified by on-site economic development support programming. MAKE will be the anchor tenant within the community created by the residents of the Siler Yard, currently in development.
