Creative Santa Fe and the Siler Yard Arts + Creativity Center presented the extraordinary documentary Miracle on 42nd Street at the Santa Fe Violet Crown cinema on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 as a one-night private cocktail party and screening. This documentary details the story of the iconic apartment complex in Manhattan that provided subsidized housing to several artists during the late 1970s: The Manhattan Plaza. This film features Alicia Keys, Donald Faison, Larry David, Samuel L Jackson, Giancarlo Esposito and Angela Lansbury as they all, at one time, lived in the Manhattan Plaza, and got their start with the help of affordable housing.

This is an inspiring story to watch unfold as we launch into making the Siler Yard Arts + Creativity Center our own Miracle in Santa Fe!

"'Miracle on 42nd Street' was a fascinating, remarkable film. What a tremendous opportunity for us to have been able to co-sponsor the presentation of such an informative, thought provoking documentary. Presentation of the film, together with the timing of the announcement of a planned local project could not have been better.
