Without Gathering How Do We Connect?

March 16th, 2020

CREATIVELY TACKLING 2020

These are certainly strange days.

Creative Santa Fe has been flourishing over the past few months with a tremendous Disruptive Founders’ Circle party featuring actress and stuntwoman Zoë Bell and our first Creative Mingle on Art and Wellness at Southwestern College, generously sponsored by CHRISTUS St. Vincent. We are so excited about our upcoming programming and our Disruptive Futures Dialogues focused on The Future of Art and The Future of Leadership.

And now, as a result of this pandemic, we are faced with a vexing challenge — if we cannot gather how do we connect?

With the recent cancellation of events in our city and across the globe, we find ourselves increasingly isolated from our communities. This is one of the greatest challenges our organization has ever faced. We are tackling it the same way we approach all of our thorny and daunting tasks — we see great opportunity for growth and innovation in the face of uncertainty.

As a result, we are working to create a digital community to connect in new and impactful ways. We are also partnering with national organizations including The Black Mountain Institute, The Believer Festival, and the Dent Conference to find ways to build meaningful connections, artful experiences and positive national outcomes in this challenging time.

We welcome your ideas and thoughts, and will stay in close touch as we build out new experiences and connections for the strange days ahead.

Best,
Cyndi Conn
Executive Director of Creative Santa Fe
