Francine Sommer is a long-time venture capitalist specializing in early-stage new media companies focused on emerging hardware and software technologies. She provides company building advice including strategy, financing, and business development through her company Oculus Media.
She was previously co-founder and general partner of Gabelli Multimedia Partners and Special General Partner of Village Ventures. She invested in IntelliCyt, co-founded Descartes Labs, and founder of Respected Wellness. In addition to serving on CrSF Advisory Council, Francine is also on the Board of Directors of Santa Fe Pro Musica. She is a graduate of Columbia University Master of Business Administration and of Goucher College in Foreign Affairs.
