Inga Hendrickson is a photographer living and working in Santa Fe, NM. She uses image-making to create her own world; carefully constructing scenes within the studio, controlling light and deeply considering objects to create sculptural still life scenes. The work feels more painterly than documentary. The color she employs adds a vibrant reverberation that goes beyond subject, symbol and composition to elicit a powerful and immediate emotional response.
In the objects Inga photographs, she finds a methodology for exploring human experience exploring our corporeal existence, our spiritual existence and how to understand our connection to one another and to all matter and space surrounding us.
