Mayo Miller King is co-owner of Miller Strategic Consulting, LLC. She began her career in San Francisco, where she received a BA in art history at Mills College and an MA in museum studies administration from John F. Kennedy University. She worked in public relations and marketing for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, as well as for Brown & Collins, a public relations and advertising firm. After graduate school, Mayo was co-founder of the Blue Room Gallery in San Francisco – an artist-run nonprofit art space.
She has been actively involved with several nonprofits in Santa Fe, including ARTsmart, Santa Fe Railyard Park, SITE Santa Fe and The Trust for Public Land. She currently is a member of the Board of Directors of NDI New Mexico. In addition to her seat on the board, she co-chair’s NDI New Mexico’s Santa Fe Gala Committee and sits on the organization’s Santa Fe Development Committee. Mayo also serves as an Advisor for the Santa Fe Business Incubator. Mayo served as Creative Santa Fe’s Interim Executive Director from 2020-2021.
