Nanobah Becker (Diné) is an award-winning writer/director who earned her MFA in directing from Columbia University. Her dramatic shorts have screened at Sundance, Tribeca, and at festivals internationally. She wrote and directed sci-fi short THE 6th WORLD, an episode of online series FUTURESTATES, and I LOST MY SHADOW, which won best Music Video at the imagineNATIVE film + media arts festival. Her second video collaboration with Laura Ortman entitled, MY SOUL REMAINER, is part of the 2019 Whitney Biennale. Nanobah was also a dialogue director on the Navajo language dubbing of Disney Pixar’s FINDING NEMO. She is currently working on a feature doc called LIVING IN THE SHADOWS OF SERRA about the history of California’s Mission Indians with several other projects in development. Nanobah hails from Albuquerque, NM, and currently lives in Los Angeles.
