Born in the midwest, and raised on both coasts, Sara returned to the midwest for her college and graduate school years. Her formal education was in biochemistry, and she spent more than 30 years in the Boston area happily engaged in the development of new drugs. Sara was trained and lived in a world of complicated, abstract concepts, experimental design and data analysis. At the same time, Sara was always creating with her hands and heart in addition to her head. Over the years, and using all manner of media (fabric, fiber, glass, paper, clay, paint) she has explored form and function, color and shape, representation and abstraction. Making something from nothing.
Sara instantly fell in love with Santa Fe on a short vacation in 2012 and decided to make it her home in 2014. She has been involved in the art community as well as philanthropic institutions engaged in the betterment of life for women and children. Having discovered Creative Santa Fe, Sara is now committed to supporting the effort to creatively and collaboratively work to build a vibrant, inclusive and adaptive Santa Fe.
Sara has a BS in chemistry, a PhD in biochemistry, an MBA and an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design. She is excited to put her creative and project management skills to use supporting the projects undertaken by Creative Santa Fe.
