Creator of 'the bomb'

Drawing from her childhood experiences in India and Puerto Rico and her travels to the edges of the Earth, Smriti weaves a narrative of adventure and multiculturalism into all of her projects.

Smriti’s overarching motivation is one of collaboration: bringing artists together; subjects together; talent together; to build and illuminate stories. She blends a producer’s sense of organization with a director’s spark for creative storytelling, creating pieces of fantastic depth and biting clarity.

Keshari created the bomb alongside Eric Schlosser. the bomb is an immersive film and music experience that brings attention to the grave threat that nuclear weapons post today. the bomb had its world premiere at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival and traveled throughout London, Berlin, Paris, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Keshari was a producer of Food Chains, a documentary that premiered at the Berlin Film Festival and the Tribeca Film Festival in 2014.  Narrated by Forrest Whitaker and featuring commentary by Eva Longoria and Eric Schlosser, it examines the plight of migrant farm workers in the United States.  The New York Times praises Food Chains, calling it “rousing…emphatic and empathetic.”
